Securing the future viability

Taking sustainable responsibility.

CEE Group is focused on delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns that fit our investors’ objectives. Incorporating ESG criteria helps us and our investors create social and economic value over the life of our

investments and mitigate the reputational, financial and operational risks that otherwise result from poor environmental, social and corporate governance practices.

Our significant contribution to the energy transition 2030.

Responsible and risk-conscious investing and appropriate asset management are at the core of our business and have always been an essential part of our corporate success. For more than 20 years, the CEE Group has focused on operating real asset investments with maturities of 20, 30 and even more years. As one of the largest operators of solar and wind power assets in Europe, we make an important contribution to climate protection through our work, and thereby actively support the achievement of the energy transition 2030 and the implementation of the Paris Agreement. In 2021 alone, the sustainable power plants we operate saved CO2 emissions of more than 850,000 tonnes per year. This is roughly equivalent to the emissions of almost 200,000 passenger cars. Our assets produce green electricity for more than half a million households.

PRI is the world’s leading advocate for responsible investment. It is committed to understanding the impact of environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) on investments and to helping its international network of investor signatories incorporate these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. As a signatory to these principles, we as the CEE Group make a visible commitment to the long-term interests of financial markets and economies, the environment and society as a whole.

In the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” adopted in 2015, the international community expresses its conviction that global challenges can only be solved through collective action. Based on the 10 universal principles and 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the UN Global Compact pursues the vision of an inclusive and sustainable economy. The initiative does not see itself as a certifiable standard or regulatory instrument, but rather as an open forum for initiating change and sharing ideas. In national networks, participants develop concrete approaches to solutions, and thereby contribute to the global vision of the UN Global Compact. As a participant in the UN Global Compact, we are actively committed to achieving a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
