CEE Windfarm equipped with a recordable medium voltage cable

The CEE Group continues to optimize its assets. Now the Windfarm Westerengel in Thuringia/Germany, which belongs to the CEE Group portfolio, was connected to the electricity grid using state-of-the-art technology. The aluminum cables used by the manufacturer Nexans have a record-setting metal cross section of 1,600 mm²

The Advantage for CEE: The use of the innovative material significantly reduces power losses between wind turbines and the grid connection point, which in turn has a positive effect on the electricity yield. The cost-intensive installation of a high-voltage section with additional substation could be bypassed. The CEE Group will continue to optimize its portfolio of renewable energy power plants in the future.
