Vattenfall and CEE Group continue direct marketing partnership
Vattenfall and the CEE Group are continuing their successful partnership in direct marketing, which began in 2015. Vattenfall’s direct marketing team will continue to manage and market the renewable energies portfolio of the Hamburg-based CEE Group in the coming four years. The 528 megawatt (MW) portfolio comprises solar (about 291 MW) and wind (237 MW) power. All installations are remote-controllable.
The CEE Group invests in alternative assets with a focus on renewables. The CEE Group develops, builds, acquires and operates power plants to produce power and heat from renewable energy sources. With its solar and wind portfolio, the CEE Group is one of the major independent green power producers in Europe.
“We greatly look forward to continuing our partnership with the CEE Group,” says Christine Lauber, Head of Asset Optimisation Sales and Renewables at Vattenfall. “The processes required for successful direct marketing are now part of Vattenfall’s core business. Our internal forecasting teams for wind and solar draw up forecasts specially tailored to customers’ installations for optimised marketing on the trading markets. As an experienced and financially stable direct marketer, we are also able to ensure the necessary security,” says Lauber.
Detlef Schreiber, the CEE Group’s CEO, adds: “In Vattenfall, we have found a partner that shares our high quality and performance standards. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration in the future.”
The portfolio of green power plants marketed by Vattenfall currently amounts to 4,100 MW. A shift team ensures that the installations are managed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The company benefits from its expertise as one of the biggest operators of onshore and offshore wind farms. In its markets, Vattenfall currently has more than 1,100 wind turbines in operation with an installed capacity of 2.2 gigawatts (GW).
